Coded Welding Training equips Learners with capabilities to perform particular welding methods by testing the ability to demonstrate the chosen method correctly.
This is examined by an approved test examiner to see if the welder is capable of doing the job. If the welder passes then he is considered to be Coded to that specification.
After the Welder approval test, a Double Coded Welding Certification approved by the International Institute of Welding ( IIW ) is awarded and Welders earn an average salary of R15000 – R30000 per month.

NB; Being Coded in a certain specification does not mean you are qualified in another, even though you are Coded. Each specification requires testing and examining hence becoming a multi-coded Welder.
